AAC Parent & Child Summer Play & Learn

Communication is more than words — it’s play, connection, and shared joy! This special summer group is designed for young AAC users (ages 3–10) and their caregivers to learn, explore, and grow together in a relaxed, fun-filled environment.

Each week, families will explore fun, CORE-word and theme-based activities that support expressive and receptive communication, device modeling, vocabulary building, and confidence. The focus is on creating opportunities for children to use their AAC systems in meaningful, natural ways while having fun alongside peers.

While the children engage in guided play led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, caregivers will also receive coaching and tips on how to model language, expand vocabulary, and support AAC use during everyday moments at home, in the community, and beyond. This group is a safe, welcoming space for both children and caregivers to build confidence, learn new skills, and connect with other families using AAC.
