About the event
Designed for Ages 8-12 (or cognitively appropriate) with IDD/DD
Join us for Happy Hearts, a fun and engaging Social/Emotional class specifically tailored for children aged 8-12 with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD/DD) or those who are cognitively appropriate.
This program is designed and led by our very own Jerie Decker, who brings 36 years of experience in early childhood education, behavioral health, and inclusion. With a passion for working with children and her personal experience as a grandmother to "exceptional" grandchildren, Jerie brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart full of care to every session.
What to Expect:
Calming Exercises: Fun and interactive techniques to help children stay present and manage their emotions.
Literature Support: Engaging stories and reading materials that complement each lesson.
